Transform the swing with AI precision. Train baseball IQ like a skill.
AtBatLab is one app for the whole player. Swing Lab uses AI to break down a swing from a phone video. Skills Lab puts athletes in real game situations and teaches the right play. Free while we’re in beta.
The runner from first is forced at second. Getting the lead runner keeps the double play possible.
Three labs, one player
Think the game. Build the swing. Own the rep.
Skills Lab is ready today. Swing Lab and Live Practice Coach are open in beta and still being built, so your feedback shapes them.
Available now
Skills Lab
Know the play before the ball is hit.
Real game situations, from Starter basics to Advanced team plays. The athlete makes the call, sees why it works, and harder situations open as their reads get sharper.
8,000+ situations, every answer checked against the rules
Every answer explained for athletes, parents, and coaches
Record a swing on your phone. Our AI tracks 33 points on the body in every frame and breaks down the load, stride, hip and shoulder turn, and finish, then gives a drill for what it finds. It’s open now in beta and still being built, so your feedback shapes what comes next.
No equipment, no setup. If you have a phone, you’re ready.
Step 1
Add your athletes or your team
Parents add their players. Coaches share one team code, and families ask to join. Kids don’t need an account.
Step 2
Pick a workshop, or get one assigned
Workshops are grouped by position and level. Coaches can assign them, and coaches and parents can build their own plays.
Step 3
Watch the play, make the call
The situation plays out on the field. The athlete taps where the ball goes. Each rep takes a minute or two.
Step 4
Learn why, in their own words
Every answer is explained for the athlete, the parent, and the coach. When more than one answer works, it says so.
Step 5
Level up
Harder situations open as an athlete gets reads right on the first try. Report cards show the progress.
Skills Lab is ready today, with more than 8,000 situations from Starter to Advanced.
Step 1
Record a swing
Film from the side with any phone. No sensors or extra gear.
Step 2
Trim to the swing
Keep just the swing itself, a few seconds from load to finish.
Step 3
AI breaks down the mechanics
Our AI tracks 33 points on the body in every frame. Results take about 60 seconds (estimated).
Step 4
See what to work on
Hip and shoulder turn, stride, balance, and timing, with a drill for what it finds.
Step 5
Track it over time
Compare swings and watch the mechanics improve from one session to the next.
Swing Lab is open in beta and still being built, so your feedback helps. In testing, a swing took 13 to 69 seconds; it can take a little longer when lots of athletes are sending swings at once.
Step 1
Set the phone on the fence
Turn it sideways and point it at the hitter, from the first- or third-base side.
Step 2
Get set up
It tells the athlete where to stand until their whole body is in the shot.
Step 3
Take your reps
Dry swings or tee work. It counts each rep on its own.
Step 4
Hear one tip after each rep
Spoken out loud in a voice you choose from your phone’s voices, and never in the middle of a swing.
Live Practice Coach runs entirely on your phone. The video never leaves it. It’s open in beta.
Every answer explained
One play. Three ways to understand it.
Every Skills Lab answer is explained for the athlete, the parent, and the coach. Kids learn at their level, parents follow along, and everyone picks up the language coaches use on the field.
For the athlete
Short and clear
“Second base gets the lead runner. Feed the covering infielder early and chest-high so they can turn two.”
Written for their age, in words a kid uses.
For the parent
The plain version
“With a runner forced off first, the defense usually takes the closest force at second before trying for first.”
So you can talk about the play at dinner, even if you never played.
For the coach
Coach language
“Correct lead-force read. Reinforce early underhand/short-arm feed selection based on distance and momentum.”
The way coaches talk, so families learn it too.
From a real Skills Lab play: runner on first, one out, ground ball to the shortstop.

No sensors. No made-up numbers.
We only show what we can measure well.
AtBatLab works with the phone you already have, so no family has to buy extra gear. Speed numbers like bat speed and exit velocity need a bat sensor or a radar to be right, so we leave them out instead of guessing.
If any app shows you bat speed or exit velocity from a phone video alone, with no sensor on the bat and no radar, that number is an estimate at best, however precise it looks. We think you deserve to know that.
For young players, USA Baseball’s player development plan puts fundamentals and technique first. That’s where we focus.

Pricing
No one should be priced out of baseball.
Lessons and travel ball add up fast. AtBatLab is here to give players good coaching for less, and to take some of the load off the coaches and parents who already give so much.
$0During beta
Everything in AtBatLab is free while we’re testing. The plans below are the prices we expect after beta, based on what it costs to run AtBatLab today. They may change. Whatever they end up being, our goal stays the same: keep baseball training accessible and as affordable as we can.
Expected pricing after beta
Every plan includes all of Skills Lab. Plans differ in Swing Lab analysis and athletes.

Is Skills Lab finished, or in beta?
Skills Lab is ready to use today, with more than 8,000 situations, workshops, report cards, and coach tools. The whole app is in beta, which mostly means it’s free while we test and we keep adding to it.
How fast is Swing Lab?
About 60 seconds per swing, as an estimate. In our testing, a swing took anywhere from 13 to 69 seconds, and about 24 seconds was typical. When a lot of athletes are sending swings at the same time, yours may take a little longer.
Other apps show bat speed from a video. Why doesn’t AtBatLab?
Measuring bat speed, exit velocity, or launch angle accurately takes a sensor on the bat or a radar. A phone camera can’t measure them on its own, so a number shown without one is a guess at best, however exact it looks. We show what video measures well: how the body moves through the swing, from load to finish. For young players, that’s where USA Baseball’s development plan puts the focus.
Does Live Practice Coach talk?
Yes. It speaks short tips out loud using the voices built into your phone, so there’s nothing to buy. It stays quiet during the swing and talks between reps. Don’t like the voice? On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Accessibility, then Read & Speak (called Spoken Content on older versions), then Voices, then English, and download a Premium or Enhanced voice. Then choose it in Live Practice Coach.
Do kids need their own account?
No. Accounts are for parents, guardians, and coaches (18 and older). You add your athletes, and they tap their name to play on your phone or tablet.
What ages is it for?
Workshops are grouped by level, from 7U up through 13U and older. Coaches and parents can pick the level that fits each player.
Does it work on iPhone and iPad?
Yes. AtBatLab runs in the browser on iPhone, iPad, Android, and computers today, and you can sign in with Face ID or Touch ID. A dedicated iPhone and iPad app is on the way.
Who can see my athlete’s information?
You, the coaches you connect, and the assistant coaches they approve. Teammates only see a first name, last initial, and practice points on the team board, and you can keep your athlete off it.
